There’s a lot of joy in this morning, There’s a lot of joy in this morning today, There’s a lot of joy in this morning, And I think it’s gonna be a bright new day! Bright new day, bright new day, I know it’s gonna be a bright new day. Bright new day, bright new day, I know it’s gonna be a bright new day! There’s a lot of hope in this morning, There’s a lot of hope in this morning today, There’s a lot of hope in this morning, And I think it’s gonna be a bright new day! (chorus) There’s a lot of peace in this morning, There’s a lot of peace in this morning today, There’s a lot of peace in this morning, And I think it’s gonna be a bright new day! (chorus) There’s a lot of love in this morning, There’s a lot of love in this morning today, There’s a lot of love in this morning, And I think it’s gonna be a bright new day! (chorus)

When I was a young girl I saw all the signs Telling me I was the wrong size. The cost of the ticket to live my own life Was to fit in the space carved by their eyes Leave the false words, Hold this truth: We all start with the same spark, Though it's not always easy to find. If you're reaching out in the darkness, Remember the light that's inside. If you're told that you're nothing unless you've a child, If you're told that your worth is in numbers, If you feel that this life is a race you can lose, That you have to keep up with the others Leave the false words Hold this truth: We all start with the same spark... There are some that are lost from the day of their birth They are told that their life can go nowhere. They fight to survive, hurt, steal and hide, They've been sold on the lie that they can't care. Leave those false words, Hold this truth: We all start with the same spark... When it's anger we feel or revenge or despair, If we can't see the one there beside us, Remember the spark in us all at the start, And let it's light shine there to guide us. Leave the false words, Hold this truth: We all start with the same spark...

A woman holds her child tightly, Bound for freedom on a raft. We watch our children play in sparkling waves, Her hope a boat too small by half. Open the doors, she is my sister, Open the doors, she is my kin. Open the doors, she is my sister, Open the doors, and let them all in. A man is running from the rifles, He leads his family from the mines. We run in place and then we count the miles, While they are running out of time. Open the doors, he is my brother, Open the doors, he is my kin. Open the doors, he is my brother, Open the doors, and let them all in. A girl is sleeping in the grass, A boy is sleeping on a stone. My daughter's sleeping in her nice warm bed, And they are wandering all alone. Open the doors, they are our children, Open the doors, they are our kin. Open the doors, they are our children, Open the doors, and let them all in. Why should they wander, what have they done? No more than you or I, or anyone- A man is weaving fear and hatred, Keeps saying they should stay away. "Close all the gates, what's ours is ours to keep!" But what if there's another way? Open the doors, she is my sister. Open the doors, he is my kin. Open the doors, they are our children, Open the doors, and let them all in.

We will build this house with questions, Lay the floor with faith in honest doubt, As we cherish this one answer: Not one who comes will be left out. When we gather for the greater good, Knowing we are not alone, Our growing faith is understood, We will make this house a home. We will build this house with questions, Make the door our arms so open wide, As we cherish this one answer, All are welcome here inside. When we gather for the greater good… We will build this house with questions, Weave the walls with different paths to grace, As we cherish this one answer: All those who come will have a place. When we gather for the greater good…

If you're looking for the answers, for what's wrong and what's right, If you're hoping for a clue to the meaning of life, That's a noble quest, you won't travel alone, But remember the answers are not written in stone. And as you go, watch the road, Be sure it leads you in with love. As we learn. we'll come to know, This is the way our faith will grow. When the news stops you cold, when you're stuck asking why, When you start losing hope, wondering why you should even try, Keep talking, keep reading, keep on listening for what's new. You'll stay on that path to the mystery of truth. Try the straight and narrow Try the winding, twisted way, Try the stars that light the darkness, Try the golden light of day- And as you go, watch the road, Be sure it leads you on with love. As we learn, we'll come to know, This is the way our faith will grow. When one speaker shouts they have the only way ahead, And another's sure exactly how the book should be read, Makes you wonder how they could disagree, Remember you are always free, Free to go, but watch the road, Be sure it leads you on with love. As we learn, we'll come to know, This is the way our faith will grow.

Tomorrow is Tuesday, Sara wakes up at 5, Gets the kids on the bus, gotta punch in on time. On her way to her second job, pulls out a folded page, She's got her ballot notes, dreams of a living wage. She's got just one vote, just like me and you, If we all show up, just think what we could do. One and one is two, up to a million strong. That's house your voice is heard, that's how a new day dawns. Tomorrow is Tuesday, Anne opens up her eyes. Looks at a picture, she's trying not to cry. Buttons up her coat, she's feeling so alone, She's gonna cast her vote to bring him home. He's got just one vote, just like me and you, If we all show up, just think what we could do. One and one is two, up to a million strong. That's house your voice is heard, that's how a new day dawns. Tomorrow is Tuesday, Jack runs the TV ad. Thinks his guy can't lose, they shelled out so much cash. He's fired up, just keep his taxes down. Thinks he's the righteous one, so sure he owns this town. He's still got just one vote, just like me and you, If we all show up, just think what we could do. One and one is two, up to a million strong. That's house your voice is heard, that's how a new day dawns.

Side by Side 03:26
This life may seem a race Many long since started. We all can turn, reach out our hands, We lose if we are parted. On our journey to the promised land We must all walk side by side. For we cannot cross that blessed line If we leave one soul behind. If our laws set the cruel free, Lock up the ones who stumble. We made them, we can change them, too. Remember to be humble. On our journey to the promised land… One school shines clean and bright, Another's closed and broken. We must unlock, rebuild them all, To all must they be open. On our journey to the promised land… If the path ahead seems hard, And fraught with stormy weather, Take heart for you are not alone, We'll make it there together. On our journey to the promised land...

Let it Run 04:09
I walked down to the river, set my eyes upon the bank, Sought to lift my spirit, but my heart sank. "This water is poisoned, keep out," I read. I turned away, I bowed my head. That river isn't yours, that river isn't mine, Its been running through these hills such a long long time. If we let it run, if we handle it with care, We will serve it well. Make this our prayer: Let it run, let it run, Run forever, let it run. I went down to the mountain, set my sights upon the top. A big red sign warned me to stop. The top of this mountain will be blown away To burn some coal for one more day. That mountain isn't yours, that mountain isn't mine, Its been rising from these hills such a long long time. If we let it rise, if we handle it with care, We will serve it well. Make this our prayer: Let it rise, let it rise, Rise forever, let it rise. I walked down to the forest, set my feet upon the path. I should have known it couldn't last. The sign said "these trees will be cut down." I fell on my knees on that sacred ground. That forest isn't yours, that forest isn't mine, Its been growing o'er these hills such a long long time. If we let it grow, if we handle it with care, We will serve it well. Make this our prayer: Let it grow, let it grow, Let it rise, let it rise, Let it run, let it run, Run forever, let it run.

Lyrics: Break it down, (break it down), Build it up, (build it up). We’ll be stronger when we build it up, Break it down, (break it down), Build it up, (build it up). We’ll be stronger when we build it up. Racism, hatred, oppression and greed, For so so long, they have taken the lead, Get out of the way, let someone else take the wheel. Gotta make more space, if we ever hope to heal, so… Might as well get used to feeling ill at ease. Different isn’t easy, but join me, please (and)… We don’t know what we’re after, but we’re gonna find out, Listening and loving, even through the doubt, so... Lean on each other, each and everyone, Love is an action, and it’s never done, When you think it is, do it over again, What we build, is stronger when (we)...

Everybody is worthwhile, (Everybody is worthwhile,) You gotta be fair and kind, (You gotta be fair and kind,) You are welcome here to grow, (You are welcome here to grow,) Truth is what we seek to find, (Truth is what we seek to find,) Everybody has a voice, (Everybody has a voice,) Peace and freedom is our goal, (Peace and freedom is our goal,) We’re part of all the earth, we need us all to make it whole! (We’re part of all the earth, we need us all to make it whole!) We’re the Church of the Open Mind, We’re the Church of the Helping Hand, We’re the Church of the Loving Heart And we’ll sing love across all lands!

Many years ago on a summer day, I heard of this lovely place. I came to sing, to lend my voice, And to rest from life’s hard race. Through all the early trials of life, searching to build something more, A circle of minds reached out to me, when I walked through that open door. Though I walk- though I wander, falter and fall, There’s a place for me in this circle, there’s a place here for us all. When I started a family of my own, buried in things unknown, Someone came to guide, to feed, to hold- I knew I was not alone. Now my children jump and dance and sing. I know I can’t keep score Of the helping hands reaching out to us, when we walk through that open door. Though I walk- though I wander, falter and fall, There’s a place for me in this circle, there’s a place here for us all. I dream of a day my kids set out, wondering what to do, Wondering where to go, when they feel unmoored, when everything is new. They will know where to find these kindred souls to help face what life’s got in store- They’ll find a circle of hearts reaching out, as they walk through that open door. Though I walk- though I wander, falter and fall, There’s a place for me in this circle, there’s a place here for us all.
